Been here several times and this is me and my boyfriend's go-to when we are lazy to cook. This place never disappoints-everything I've ordered is delicious. Service is always great and quick! If you're vegetarian, no worries. They've got plenty of vegetarian options that are just as tasty.
We always order takeout. Although you can eat inside as they have plenty of tables and chairs you could sit at. You can always order ahead and shoot them a call. Just FYI though, they close at 7pm and they turn off their deep friers at about 6, so you won't be able to order anything deep fried. Their hours vary, so make sure you check if they're open before making the drive over to this place. I believe they are closed on Mondays and maybe Sundays.. -

I've eaten st The Food Company since it opened in the early-mid 2000s. I decided to start reviewing the meals I usually order for breakfast and lunch.
I ordered the Teri loco moco. I like the beef patty which slightly seasoned . The gravy had a slight teriyaki spin, not over powering as it could have been. The egg was cooked to order, and the rice quantity was proportional to gravy, egg, and beef patty.
I love this eatery. I highly recommend ordering one of their numerous unique meals when visiting Kailua. -

The Food Company is popular Kailua lunch spot located in a plaza with a handful of dining destinations and plentiful parking. We arrived around 12:30, right before a crowd of regulars formed a line that reached the door. We were lucky to get a table, especially with a baby in a stroller.
Since it was our first visit to The Food Company, I asked the staff for a recommendation. I ordered the crab cake bento (pictured below), which included rice sprinkled with furikake, a crab cake, mochiko chicken, and your choice of either teriyaki beef or teriyaki chicken. I chose to order the beef, but ended up with the chicken by mistake. This, however, turned out to be a delicious mistake, because I ate it all up! The chicken was holy guacamole so good -- and I don't even like chicken that much. I just ordered it because the staff recommended it! Everything was delicious. I could easily see myself ordering a couple of plates to go and gluttonously devouring everything in my untinted car without an ounce of shame.
I did appreciate the self-serve water station and the generous helping of napkins the staff provided. The only things I would change about this place -- 1. The hours are a little strange, so be aware of that and 2. A restroom would be very welcome, especially for people with kids or pregnant folk like me. Otherwise, this place is perfect! If you're on the fence about this place, don't be -- I promise, your taste buds will thank you! -

I love this place! The food is ono and the service is top notch. Local kine grindz with a twist. They offer breakfast and lunch, as well baked goods and an assortment of musubis/bentos. There's definitely something for everyone.
I had the corn beef hash breakfast plate. The patty was unreal with the most perfect crust on the outside, and so fluffy and flavorful on the inside. My eggs were cooked a perfect over medium. Aunty at the counter was aloha personified. She brought out some complimentary grapes for my lil guy while we waited and catered to our every need. They even brought him his own little bowl of rice. My coffee was always filled. So incredibly hospitable!
All in all, a homey, cozy cafe in the heart of Enchanted Lakes. I felt like I was in my grandma's house on a Sunday morning, and that's one of the biggest compliments I can bestow. Highly, highly recommended. -

Tried this yesterday for the first time, we wanted to go sooner but the hours never matched up. The place was jamming! Lots of people ordering ahead. We are and found a seat. They bring the food out when ready, which is nice. I ordered the home style turkey and it was fabulous, I want the stuffing recipe, so ono! I can't wait to come back to try the meatloaf, hamburger steak, and even the Kalbi! This might be our new go to restaurant when we don't want to cook for dinner. Oh, I do wish they had breakfast all day as that menu looked amazing as well.
